The Edge of the Grid
Where the signal gets thin
The Lantern Car takes them to the edge of the grid — a place where the signal is so thin it barely registers. The tracks here are old. The stations have no names. The clocks have stopped. But the lanterns are still burning. Someone has been keeping them lit. Heathcliff follows the trail of lit lanterns. Each one is a little brighter than the last.
